Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has now started to deliver the MIUI 12.5 interface to devices with determination. Many models, especially the Mi 11 series, received this update. This week, however, the company issued an important statement regarding beta releases.
The MIUI 12.5 update will not be released until May 10, Xiaomi moderators said. Users will still receive stable versions. However, closed and open beta versions will temporarily stop where new features will be tested.
MIUI 12.5 beta temporarily halted
Xiaomi yesterday released a new update to beta users with the build number 21.4.28/29. However, the company said in its changelog that beta testing would be suspended for some time. This means that users will not receive a new update temporarily after this release. Here is the description made by Xiaomi developers;
- 26 April – 30 April 2021: Both on and off beta update released
- 3 May – 7 May 2021: All beta enhancements and updates are temporarily suspended.
- From May 10, 2021: From this date, all users will receive closed and open beta updates again.
According to the above post, from May 10, users will be able to receive new beta updates. However, no new updates will be released to any beta users during this time unless it is urgent.
The company has not commented on why the updates were suspended. But according to our estimates, Xiaomi has allowed its employees due to the May 1 holiday. That’s why the MIUI developer team will take the day off until May 10 and then continue to release beta releases again.
