Xiaomi has successfully launched the latest MIUI 12.5 update wave. As the company initially promised, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were the first devices to receive the MIUI 12.5 update.
Now the update is spreading to Chinese units. The firmware version for vanilla and Mi 10 Pro was named V184.108.40.206.RJBCNXM and V220.127.116.11.RJACNXM, respectively. The update is about 4 GB in size and based on Android 11. It also includes March 2021 Android security patches. The update has now begun in China. If the device updates it has offered in limited space so far go well, other regions will be updated shortly.
Although there is only a difference of “.5” in its numbering, MIUI 12.5 actually brings a lot of innovations. The update involves a significant rewrite of the core MIUI structure. It promises to reduce memory usage by up to 20%, reducing power consumption by an average of 35% and 25% less power consumption in background memory usage. In the security section, MIUI 12.5 will allow you to block applications from accessing your location, private data, dashboard, and does not save passwords or other sensitive information. Just like MIUI 11 and MIUI 12, we have a new dynamic wallpaper. There is also more customization in landscapes and sounds. Multiple notifications are set in four different shades, inspired by various parts of the world. We expect Global MIUI 12.5 for all Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro devices to arrive shortly. However, there is no official timeframe.
