Facebook announced Whatsapp Business API changes with the F8 Refresh event. The new features aim to make communication between businesses and their customers easier and faster.
WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned messaging platform, has announced new WhatsApp Business API features that will speed up businesses’ launch and make it easier for customers to communicate with businesses.
One of the features announced at Facebook’s F8 Refresh event was aimed at getting businesses up and running faster on WhatsApp. According to the company, the time for businesses to start operating has been reduced from a few weeks to just five minutes.
Improving the way businesses communicate with their customers was also among the features announced at the event. In a blog post, WhatsApp said: “As more businesses move to WhatsApp, we are developing ways for these businesses to communicate with their customers. For example, previously, businesses often only had the option to send notifications on time, making it difficult to communicate with customers outside the 24-hour interval. Now that we support more types of messages, for example, you will be able to inform customers when a product is back in stock.”
WhatsApp is also receiving improvements to strengthen communication between customers and businesses. With the Main Menu, customers will be able to meet their needs in a shorter time thanks to up to 10 options prepared in advance by the enterprises. Businesses will also be able to set up to 3 responses to each request in the menu.
