WhatsApp’s latest Android beta version revealed a new feature approaching the app. This feature, which is under development, allows the videos to be sent to the chat or the situation to be muted. It is currently unknown when the feature will be available.
The developers of WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, have updated the Android beta version of the application. With this update, WhatsApp’s Android beta version increased to 18.104.22.168, while a feature that is still under development has surfaced. It seems that WhatsApp comes with a feature where you can mute the videos you send.
The new feature that WhatsApp developers are working on was revealed by the WABetaInfo team. This feature, currently unavailable to users, helps you unmute the video you send to your story or a chat. After the introduction of this feature, it seems not to be surprised if a feature such as Instagram’s music library comes to WhatsApp.
WhatsApp will allow you to mute the videos you send
If you want to send a video in current versions of WhatsApp, WhatsApp shows a section that allows you to trim that video. This section will be updated with new features under development, and users will encounter the speaker icon located under the trim section. A user will be able to mute and unmute the video by tapping the icon.

This is not the only feature in WhatsApp’s Android version 22.214.171.124. Users have started to test the disappearing messages feature with the advanced wallpaper options we have transferred to you a while ago with the last beta version. Although the mute feature in videos is a little longer, the disappearing messages with the new wallpaper options seem to reach the end user.
