Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), said his country does not want to fight Iran but is ready to respond if necessary!
Speaking to LBC television in Lebanon, McKenzie said Washington has pursued a policy of maximum pressure on Tehran over the past two years, but joe biden’s administration is considering this method.
McKenzie called the Iranian-backed Houthi operations in Yemen against Saudi Arabia an “aggressive act.”
“The operations of our forces in Iraq by those waging Iran’s proxy wars are probably an aggressive act,” McKenzie said, adding that American forces were ready to respond to the threat of revenge over the assassination of Qassim Soleimani.
The AA reported that 100,000 people were killed in the McKenzie said they are constantly on the move to ensure the well-being of trade in territorial waters.
The Lebanese military said in a statement that McKenzie met with Lebanese Chief of Staff Joseph Avn, accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Beirut Dorothy Shea.
