International brand assessment firm Brand Finance shared the results of the World’s Most Valuable 500 Brands 2020 research. When we look at the top of the list, we see the domination of US companies.

According to the results shared by Brand Finance, the leader in the ranking of the most valuable brands in the world has not changed. Sitting in the leader seat with a brand value of approximately 188 billion dollars last year, Amazon has not lost its place to anyone by increasing its value to about 221 billion dollars.

When we look at the second and third places of the list, we see that Google overtakes Apple, its rival. Google has increased its brand value to $ 160 billion in 2019, which was set at $ 143 billion in 2019. Apple fell from $ 153 billion to $ 140 billion. Microsoft and Samsung, who completed the top five of the list, have not moved.

According to the shared results, Tesla was the company that increased its brand value the most compared to last year. The US electric vehicle manufacturer gained this title by increasing its brand value by 64.9 percent. Some brands were not as lucky as Tesla. Baidu, for example, was at the top of the rankings with the lowest in brand value, down 54.1 percent.

When we look at the list of Brand Finance in terms of automotive, we see that Mercedes-Benz, which ranks first, has increased its brand value by $ 5 billion and has ranked 11th by stepping up. Japanese manufacturer Toyota, which followed Mercedes, increased its brand value by $ 6 billion to 15th in the list. On the other hand, Volkswagen came 3rd among automotive brands with a brand value of approximately 45 billion dollars and 25th in the list.

When we consider the shared results on a country basis, we see that the USA, which appeared in the list of the most valuable 500 brands with 205 brands, was at the top. The USA is followed by China with 70 brands and Japan with 36 brands.
