Technology giant Samsung is coming soon to produce new retractable phones, Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 4. For new phones, the production of foldable panels will increase.
After good commercial success with the foldable Galaxy Z Flip and Fold series, Samsung will soon be able to connect the new series phones to users. According to the shares, the company has started producing phone parts which are expected to be available in the second half of 2022.
By the end of the year, Samsung plans to make more than 10 million foldable panels for the flip-and-fold series phones while expanding its Vietnamese production line from 7 to 10. However, the company plans to increase this production of panels from 1.4 to 1.5 million to 2 million and is expected to reserve 70% of these panels for the Flip 4 series and 30% for the Fold 4 series.
Aiming to ship 10 million foldable phones by the end of this year, the South Korea-based tech giant will increase the share of foldable phones in the global smartphone market by 1% if it hits its target. Additionally, the company, which maintains the profit margin at 20% on current foldable models, may reduce the profit margin by up to 15% to maintain the favorable price advantage.
