The next generation iPad Pro will have fewer speaker holes

US accessory manufacturer ESR has listed iPad Pro (2021) and third generation AirPods cases, which are expected to be released soon, in its online store.

The cases reveal that the next generation iPad Pro will not undergo any significant design changes, while at the same time revealing some of the tablet’s features.

Looks like the new iPad Pros will have fewer speaker holes. Japan’s Mac Otakara website said in a January report that the number of speaker holes in new iPad Pro models would decrease by a third.

Here’s how a third crop will work:

  • 11-inch iPad Pro: 13 holes per speaker —› 8-9 holes per speaker
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro: 17 holes per speaker —› 11-12 holes per speaker

As we mentioned in the introduction, ESR also listed silicone cases designed for AirPods 3. The images reveal that the charging case will look like the AirPods Pro. According to the latest information, Apple will unveil its new products at an event in April.
