The Innovations of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 Continue to Emerge

Apple’s annual Developer Conference Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) will be held on June 7, and the event is expected to announce the company’s next wave of updates for all major software platforms. This, of course, includes iOS 15.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, iOS 15 will come with several improvements to notifications, a home screen (especially on iPad), and privacy features.

It is thought that the most notable change will be in the notifications. Apple plans to introduce a large number of modes that adjust notification settings based on a user’s status. For example, if the user is driving, certain notifications will only come in a way that can be adjusted to vibration, and if it works, it will be audible. In addition to the special categories that users can create, it was announced that driving, working, and sleeping modes will come and users will be able to select their current status from the Control Center or lock screen.

In addition to notifications, users will also be able to set up automatic replies to messages based on their status. iOS already supports automatic responses, but only the user is active while driving. It seems that automatic messages will now be customizable for each of the above-mentioned modes.

New Home Screen Coming to iPads

For iPad users, another important upgrade is coming to the home screen. iOS and iPadOS 14 came with widgets, but iPad users could only see them on the left side of the screen, separate from the list of apps. According to the leak, in iPadOS 15 it will be possible to place Widgets anywhere on the home screen or even fill the entire app grid with them.

New Privacy Menu to iOS 15

Finally, according to another leaked information, users will have a new secret menu where they can see which apps are collecting data about them. Apple has previously introduced features such as App Tracking Transparency, which warns users about apps that can collect data. This menu represents the next step in this protection.
