Amazon is a company known for its innovative steps and the risks it takes. Amazon has now launched its first televisions in India under the AmazonBasics label. The Fire TV Edition TV, which is the first television signed by Amazon, sold for about $ 410 for a 50-inch model, and $ 480 for a 55-inch model.
The first television signed by Amazon comes with ambitious features
It is possible to say that both of these new televisions from Amazon have 4K UHD TVs with Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HGL high dynamic range formats as well as Dolby Atmos sound support. For those who don’t know, AmazonBasics is positioned as Xiaomi’s Youpin, a sub-brand that the company uses to sell its different products.
Last year, Alexa-powered microwave was launched on the same platform. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that televisions are actually launched on AmazonBasics. It also finds household electronics such as dishwashers, air conditioners, and refrigerators under the AmazonBasics brand name. Let’s talk about the features of televisions:
The 50-inch and 55-inch TV sizes released support 3840 x 2160 4K video resolution at 60 fps. The future of a 43-inch 4K TV with similar features in the future is confirmed by the company. In addition, Amazon plans to introduce a 43-inch 1080p TV and 32-inch 720p TV under the AmazonBasics brand in India.
50-inch and 55-inch AmazonBasics Fire TV Edition TVs are the same, except for their screen sizes. It has 3 HDMI 2.0 ports, an optical audio output and 2 USB ports (1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0) “for connecting hard drives and other USB devices”. These new AmazonBasics Fire TV Edition televisions feature Amlogic 1.95 GHz quad-core CPU and Amlogic’s 9th generation Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.
As with any modern Fire TV device, these TVs come powered by Amazon’s smart assistant Alexa via the included Alexa Voice Remote. Note that these televisions are currently only sold in India. It is not yet known whether it will be available in other countries.
