The first photo taken with the Pixel 5a has emerged

We can say that Google has failed to store details about Pixel devices. This claim was denied when it was told that the flagship Pixel 5 would have a variant of lower specifications. After the claim was denied, Google announced the Pixel 5a.

Now we see that a photo taken with the Google Pixel 5a has been leaked. The photo gives us important information about the camera quality of the phone.

Google Pixel 5a camera features leaked

One of Google’s blog posts featured a gallery about the HDR+ effect. EXIF information for one of the photos in this gallery indicates that the photo belongs to the Pixel 5a. Thanks to Exif information, we have already learned many important details besides the device model.

The resolution of the photo is 4032 × 3024, indicating that it was taken with a 12.2 MP main camera. Let’s add that the aperture is f / 2.2 and the equivalent focal length is 16 mm. This equivalent focal length indicates that the photo was taken in wide-angle mode.

The device will probably come with a 12.2 MP main camera and a wide-angle camera. With the introduction of Google Camera ingenuity, good night and portrait modes can be expected. The detail that strips the camera of Pixel phones from others is usually google camera software.

The most important detail about the photo is that it was taken in October 2020. Considering that the device was in development at the time, it is not difficult to guess that there were software deficiencies. This means the photo taken isn’t of the ultimate quality.

Let’s even remember that the current photo quality can be much different. The already leaked photo is not of a quality that will make a difference to its segment.

However, we expect the device to be introduced in May or June, its launch will be much later. That’s because analysts say the Pixel 5a’s earliest release date is the end of summer. This date can be extended until the autumn months.

In addition to the dual-camera setup, it is also known that the device will come with a 6.2-inch OLED Full HD display. On the processor side, the Snapdragon 765G is expected. Once released, the device will only be available for the U.S. and Japan.

Time will tell if Google’s new mid-segment breakthrough will be successful.
