Samsung has released an unexpected software update for its smartwatches, which is released about five years ago. The new firmware improves the user experience of Gear Sport and Gear S3.
South Korean tech giant Samsung has released a surprise software update for its Gear Sport, which it launched in 2017, and its Gear S3 smartwatches, which debuted in 2016.
The new firmware has version numbers R600XXU2FUD1 and R760XXU2FUD1, respectively. The Gear S3 has been updated with improved Wi-Fi performance and various bug fixes. The Tizen operating system version remains unchanged at 18.104.22.168.
It is unclear what changes the update for Gear Sport includes. Probably Samsung has made similar improvements to this smartwatch.
According to reports, the new update is currently available to Chinese users. It is expected to reach devices in other regions in the coming days as it is gradually distributed.
