With the successful return of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition released by the company, preparations have begun for the addition of a new device to the series.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Redmi recently launched its first gaming smartphone. The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has found itself among the thinnest and lightest gaming phones available. According to DigitalChatStation, the company is working to add another gaming-focused phone to the series.
Redmi sold 100,000 units in one minute when the first player put his phone up for sale. Following these successful sales, the company is reportedly working on a new device called Redmi K40 Gaming Lite, which has similar features to the first gaming phone.
According to leaked information, the upcoming smartphone will come with an FHD + (2400 × 1080p) display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10+ support. The rear camera installation will have a 64MP primary lens. With 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the device will be powered by the Dimensity 1100 chipset.
Android 11 is expected in the software section, while the device is expected to come with a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It is not yet known when the phone will be released, but it is expected to be introduced in the first half of this year.
