Introducing the new 5000 series Ryzen processors on October 8, AMD continues its preparations for video cards. The RX 6000 series graphics cards, which will be introduced on October 28, will compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 3000 series. While four graphics cards are expected to be introduced in total, it is said that the flagship called Big Navi could surpass the RTX 3080. Now, according to the latest leaks, the clock speed of the Radeon Navi 21 XT and Navi 21 XL cards has been revealed.
The cards that will go through 7 nm TSMC production will have RDNA 2 architecture.
Radeon Navi 21 XT and Navi 21 XL cards’ clock speed revealed
In line with the information leaked by a user named @_rogame on Twitter, some details have emerged about two of AMD’s new graphics cards, Navi 21 XT and Navi 21 XL. A total of 4 models are expected to arrive: Navi 21 XTX (0x731F: D0), Navi 21 XT (0x731F: D1), Navi 21 XL (0x731F: D3) and Navi 21 XLE (0x731F: DF). The top model is expected to be more performance than the RTX 3080.
Some details about the new graphics cards that aim to offer good performance in 4K resolution were given at the event on October 8th. According to the leaked information, the clock speed of the Radeon Navi 21 XT card is as follows:
Base speed: 1450 MHz -> 1500 MHz
Boosted: 2000 MHz -> 2100 MHz
Maximum clock speed: 2200 MHz -> 2400 MHz
The clock speed of the Navi 21 XL graphics card that was leaked with the Navi 21 XT is as follows:
Basic speed: 1350 MHz -> 1400 MHz
Increased speed: 1800 MHz -> 1900 MHz
Maximum clock speed: 2100 MHz or 2200 MHz
Navi 21 XT has a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz, with an average TDP of 255W and a maximum TDP of 290W. Considering this card is the RTX 3080 competitor with 320W TDP, we can say that AMD is doing a good job in terms of power per watt. However, this information is still at the leak stage. It is useful to wait until the launch date for clear comparisons.
It’s hard for AMD to come up with a RTX 3090 competitor graphics card. However, when we consider the price of this card, many people will turn to alternatives such as RTX 3080 and 3070. For this reason, alternative solutions and price policy that AMD will offer against these two graphics cards may determine the fate of the company this year.
NVIDIA’s biggest weapon in 4K resolution is DLSS technology. With this technology, NVIDIA provides a great advantage in resolutions that require a lot of performance such as 4K and 8K.
