Qualcomm has brought thousands of phones to life with its mobile processors. The industry is focused on Qualcomm’s new flagship processor, Snapdragon 888, although flagship phone sales have declined due to the rise in phone prices. The first test results started to emerge.
Snapdragon 888 performance test: beat Apple A14 and A13
In the 5th version of Geekbench, which is one of the first software that comes to mind when it comes to processor testing, Snapdragon 888 and Apple A14 Bionic came across. Apple, as always, outperformed Qualcomm’s processor.
Both A14 and A13 outperform Snapdragon 888 in single-core performance. When switching to multi-core performance, the 888 seems to outperform the A13. While this is bad for Qualcomm, it is hardly possible to say the same for the end user. Because these two processors are not direct competitors.
Apple’s processors power only iPhone models, while Qualcomm’s processor is used on Android devices. Qualcomm also shared the results from graphics tests using GFXBench.
Snapdragon 888 also lagged behind Apple A13 and A14 in terms of graphics performance by getting 86 fps in the Aztec Ruins scene in GFXBench. Apple A13 got a minimum 89.70 fps in the same scene, outpacing the Snapdragon 888 by a small margin. We can see that the Apple A14 gets 102.24 fps in the same scene.
According to the test results, the CPU performance of the Snapdragon 888 increased by 25 percent compared to the previous Qualcomm processors, while the GPU performance increased by 35 percent. What do you think of the Snapdragon 888 performance test results? We are waiting your comments…
