The new generation flagship graphics card of NVIDIA, RTX 3080, fell into the hands of black stockbrokers. Seeing that the graphics card was sold at exorbitant prices, users opened troll advertisements on eBay.
NVIDIA introduced the GeForce RTX 3000 series of next-generation graphics cards earlier this month. Many parts of the world also lined up for the GeForce RTX 3080. However, users who entered the online shopping site eBay in the USA came across quite interesting ads in their search for the RTX 3080.
Those who made these interesting listings on eBay were PC gamers who wanted to ‘troll’ black marketers who bought NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards using automatic bots. These fake listings created black stockbrokers who were trying to sell the $ 699 RTX 3080 graphics card for $ 2,000, so to speak.
Troll RTX 3080 postings opened on eBay
For example, among these troll advertisements, there is the “Paper Edition” of the GeForce RTX 3080. In this troll advertisement, as the name suggests, there is a picture of the RTX 3080 drawn on a white paper. In addition, listings such as the “Potato Edition” of the RTX 3080, the RTX 3080 printed on the thank you card are among the listings opened.
“Paying exaggerated prices only encourages black traders further. Please be patient, wait for authorized sellers to restock, and help the community drain this gray market,” said a user who posted a Troll ad.
Users were also bombarded with comments from vendors trying to buy graphics cards with automated bots and sell them at exorbitant prices. Users who gave 1 star to the products stated in the comments that products should not be bought from black stockbrokers.
NVIDIA announced that more RTX 3080 Founders Editions will arrive this week, while production continues with production partners. But the real question is whether NVIDIA will be able to get ahead of the black marketers who buy graphics cards.
