Oxygen OS gospel to the OnePlus 8 series

Like most manufacturers, OnePlus has a beta program to test innovations for volunteer users. Last month, the Oxygen OS Open Beta 7 update was released for the company’s favorite series, the OnePlus 8. The successor to the update came a little earlier than it should have.

Open Beta 8 for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, Open Beta 2 for OnePlus 8T model released.

New Oxygen OS Beta updates contain important fixes

The update released for the OnePlus 8T corrects 19 errors. The update for other models of the series corrects 21 errors. The content of the two additional fixes for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is indicated as the absence of a fingerprint pattern on the screen and some SMS problems.

With these fixes, the Android Security Patch level of the devices has been updated to March 2021.

Full details of the Oxygen OS Beta update are as follows:


The OnePlus account can now be registered with a phone number in more countries or regions
Optimized the startup speed of some applications to improve the user experience
The noise issue of 5G calls has been fixed
Fixed an issue where the fingerprint pattern was not displayed on the screen (OP8 series only)
Fixed an issue where WhatsApp could not receive messages when it was in the background for a long time
Fixed an issue where the “Open automatically” option was disabled in Dark Mode after the system update.
Fixed an issue with the animation of the voice assistant wake-up gesture
Fixed an issue where caller ID was not displayed from frequently used contacts in Do Not Disturb mode.
Fixed an issue where the Setting interface displayed abnormally on the split screen of call routing
Fixed a flash problem with Quick Reply in Landscape Mode
Fixed an issue where the status bar displayed abnormally when using a split screen with Chrome
Fixed a minor probability issue that could cause the extended screenshot to stop working

Fixed an issue where pictures were not displayed in the Gallery after they were copied to the DCIM category
Fixed an issue where the Share Nearby button disappeared while using Google Photos

Software-oriented Oxygen OS innovations:


Fixed an issue where the STAGE-BASED HEALING switch was not displayed in the settings when onePlus Buds were connected to the phone
Fixed an issue where the device could not be searched by other Bluetooth devices


Fixed an incomplete dialog box issue that appears in Landscape mode
Fixed known SMS-related issues (OP8 series only) to improve functional stability


Improved the touch range of stopwatch buttons and improved the user experience

Media Screen

Fixed an issue where the AOD showed the wrong time sequence after you set some languages as system languages
Fixed an issue where the screen flashed when unlocking with a fingerprint
Fixed an issue with the AOD where the screen appeared red in some scenes
Fixed a blurred line issue in the AOD

Fixed a Wi-Fi-related glitch

If your device has an Oxygen OS Beta ROM, you can easily update from OTA updates. If you are using a stable ROM, you need to find and install the appropriate beta image file on your device.
