Oppo confirmed in an image that it is working on a new smartwatch. Oppo Watch 2 will also feature a secondary processor called Apollo 4s.
Oppo is set to offer a successor to its smartwatch, which it launched last year. The company confirmed that they are working on the Oppo Watch 2 series with the images it shares. The images also feature two different dial structures.
Images shared by the Chinese tech giant show that the upcoming smartwatch will have a dial structure similar to the Oppo Watch introduced in March last year, as well as a circular dial option. The company also confirmed that it is partnering with Ambiq for the Apollo 4s chip, which promises long battery life as a secondary chipset.
Leaked information about the smartwatch is also beginning to emerge. According to the leaked information, the Oppo Watch 2 series will have two different size chassis options: 42mm and 46mm. The smartwatch will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset and will come with 16GB of internal storage.
The smartwatch, expected to be introduced in the second half of this year, will run ColorOS watch in the Chinese market and Wear OS in the global market. Other leaked information includes that the smartwatch will have a new Oppo Relax app, as well as a redesigned stress detection app and new watch interfaces.
