Reliable technology analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared a claim about the new wireless Apple headset AirPods 3 this time. According to Kuo’s report, the company will only start mass production for its 3rd generation headphones in the third quarter of the year.
Kuo, who we know regularly for his accurate predictions about Apple products, has previously informed us about the smartphones that the company will develop by 2023. In their new phone, he said the company would adopt the monolithic camera design; At the same time, the news that iPhone 13 phones would use larger battery capacities had a great resonance in the press. The analyst has now shared with his followers the expected predictions about the new AirPods model.
Apple AirPods 3 may be available in the third quarter of 2021
According to Kuo, if Apple does not start mass production for the AirPods 3 by the third quarter of 2021, the launch of the devices could take years. He predicted last year that the device would hit shelves in the first half of the year. But when it follows the market thoroughly at the moment, he says, this can only happen between July and September.
Another important issue is what happens to second generation AirPods when airpods 3 is released… Kuo claims that Apple could succeed if it sold the AirPods 2 at a lower price. Otherwise, the low-priced wireless headphone options available on the market could hurt Apple. Kuo’s statements on the subject are as follows:
“The competitive advantage of Apple products is not only related to the hardware of the devices. It is the integration of the ecosystem it provides in terms of hardware, software and services. However, the gap between the AirPods and their competitors is getting smaller. To achieve this, improvements should be made to the user experience and at the same time lower-priced alternatives should be created.”
According to Kuo’s assessments, the AirPods 3 will draw attention to its integration system and other practical features compared to its competitors, but the low sales prices offered by its alternatives can put Apple in a difficult position. The company will sell approximately 90 million AirPods in 2020; Sales are projected to fall to 78 million in 2021, according to analyst estimates.
