MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor officially announced

To date, a new revolution has taken place in the Dimensity series, which has come up with a 7 nm process. The Dimensity 1200 and 1100, which first used the Cortex A-78 core, appeared as MediaTek’s first 6 nm chipsets.

MediaTek Dimensity 1200 revealed with new features

The Dimensity 1200 has a configuration of three A78 cores at 2.6GHz and power-efficient A55 cores running at 2.0GHz, with an A-78 core running at 3.0GHz.

When we compared it, the Dimensity 1000+ processor used an old A77 core that worked at 2.6 GHz. While these numbers gave exactly the same results as ARM’s official estimates, the A78 at 3.0 GHz appeared to be 20 percent faster than the 2.6GHz A77. This, of course, is for single-threaded performance, since only one core in each chipset reaches these frequencies. Dimensity 1200’s overall CPU performance increased by 22 percent and power efficiency by 25 percent compared to previous generations.

As for Dimensity 1100, it has no such main çekir. All four Cortex-A78 cores work at 2.6GHz. However, even without higher clock speeds, the 1100 has an architectural advantage, so it has a superiority over the Dimensity 1000+ in both single and multi-core performance.

Both chipsets use the same Mali-G77 graphics processor. The Dimensity 1200 supports a screen refresh rate of 168 Hz and its 5-core ISP can process a maximum of 200 Megapixel camera sensors. In addition, with gradual HDR support for 4K videos (three exposures combined into a single frame), dynamic range increased by 40 percent.

With 144Hz displays and support for a maximum camera sensor of 108 Megapixels, the Dimensity 1100 chip is also quite powerful. Both processors are 20 percent faster at handling Night Shooting and have exclusive Night Mode for panoramas

Many companies, including Realme, Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo, support using MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1200 and 1100 chips. New processors are expected to be released with new phones at the end of March, early April.
