Lexar, which changed hands a few years ago, announced its NM620 M.2 NVMe solid state drive for gamers and creators. Models are already available.
Lexar launched its Lexar NM620 SSDs, which entered the Flash storage market again in 2018 after being acquired by China’s Longsys in 2017.
The NM620 is an NVMe SSD consisting of 3D NAND Flash chips controlled by an undisclosed controller. In the M.2 2280 format family scaled up to 1TB, sequential speeds increase to 3300/3000 MB/s, while 300K/256K IOPS can be observed in random operations in the 1TB capacity option.
The models, which are available under a 5-year warranty, will stand at 125/250/500 TBW for 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacity options. Finally, the price was announced at $89.99 for the 512 GB capacity and $159.99 for the 1TB option.
