Foxconn, which assembles Apple smartphones, is about to begin mass production of the iPhone 13, according to Chinese sources.
Chinese sources say Foxconn will soon begin mass production of iPhone 13 smartphones. This important information is based on an increase in bonuses for employees.
Foxconn’s hiring announcement for the Zhengzhou plant, which makes iPhones, includes the following information: Employees will receive a $1,165 bonus if they work 90 days on the production line. The size of the bonus increased for the fourth time in a short period, the source said. By the end of March, that amount was only $545. On April 15, the bonus increased to $930 and from April 26 to $1,010.
Insider sources are confident that the increase in bonuses for Foxconn employees is a direct indicator of the readiness for mass production of the next generation of iPhone smartphones. The iPhone 13 is expected to be unveiled in September this year. The device’s specifications include the Apple A15 chipset, a 120Hz Samsung AMOLED display, up to 8 GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
