iPhone 12 Water Resistance Tested in Deep Water
A YouTube channel called EverythingApplePro EAP tested the iPhone 12, which Apple claims to be water resistant, in deep water. In addition, in this test, the iPhone 12 was accompanied by its big brother, the iPhone 11.
What do you pay attention to when you buy a new smartphone? Its camera, processor, operating system, RAM and storage are among the criteria that many users pay attention to. What about their resistance to dust and water?
Nowadays, especially the devices we call flagship have IP68 dust and water resistance certificates. Apple’s new generation iPhone model iPhone 12 also has water resistance. Of course, if Apple has such a claim, there are those who want to test this claim.
iPhone 12 passes water resistance test
The YouTube channel EverythingApplePro EAP decided to test this claim of the iPhone 12 and placed the iPhone 11 next to the iPhone 12. He tested the water resistance of both devices with increasing depths.
Stating that iPhone devices do not yet have water resistance tests, channel owner Filip Koroy placed both devices in a box and first tested their durability at a depth of 2 meters. After about half an hour, both devices were able to pass the test while still functioning functionally.
It then lowered the depth to 5.49 meters. Koroy put several stones in the box so that the box could reach this depth at this distance. Both devices successfully survived this depth of about 6 meters. Filip Koroy dipped devices that successfully passed both tests to a depth of 9.14 meters in the third time. Both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 managed to survive from a depth of 9 meters after 20 minutes.
