At Apple, which has released updates much more frequently than in previous years, eyes are already turned to iOS 14.5 and WatchOS 7.4, which are already being tested. After a few weeks of the fourth beta, iOS 14.5 Beta 5 is now available to developers.
In the next stage, the GM version, called golden master and almost exactly the same as the final version, is expected to be released. So iOS 14.5 is about two weeks away from being made available to everyone.
iOS 14.5 Beta 5 is coming to an end
It’s only been a few hours since iOS 14.5 Beta 5 was released, so it’s going to take some time for all the innovations to emerge. But all the features that we mentioned below are included in this release.
Notable innovations such as unlocking iPhone with Apple Watch and playstation 5/Xbox Series X controller support, as well as pop-up menus for more than 200 emoji and Music apps, will be available to users with iOS 14.5.
Offering small changes to the design of the Podcast and News app, iOS 14.5 makes the Reminder app more functional. In addition, dual SIM 5G support comes with the update to iPhones.
The update, which allows Siri to accept other alternatives such as Spotify as the default app instead of Apple Music, makes the Apple Maps app a navigation solution that reports events similar to Waze.
The entire iPhone 12 series supports 5G technology. However, it was unlikely to take advantage of 5G technology at the same time with the dual SIM card. With iOS 14.5, this problem is eliminated.
