Apple will release iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 next week.
Apple has been working on the next version of its mobile operating system for months, and this version is almost ready. The company will finally release iOS 14.5 for iPhone and iPod Touch devices and iPadOS 14.5 for tablets.
The wait for iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 is almost over, according to Apple. Updates will be released wirelessly next week. There is no more precise timeline at this time, but keep following Technopat and we’ll let you know when there are any new developments.
Version 14.5 of the company’s mobile operating system will be the minimum version required for the newly introduced AirTag accessory to work with your iPhone or iPad by adding an Items tab to the Find app, and will also lead to the redesigned Podcasts app.
Also, if you have an Apple Watch, features such as the ability to unlock your iPhone with Face ID while wearing a mask, an updated Music app with scroll gestures and lyric sharing, AirPlay 2 support for Fitness + workouts, Waze-like reporting features on Apple Maps, support for PS5 and Xbox Series X controllers, and perhaps support for the new Apple Card Family will come.
iOS 14.5 will be pre-installed on iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9, as well as new purple iPhones, announced today.
