Facebook is working on tools to help creators on its Instagram platform plan to make money. The company aims to bring users together with brands that can sponsor them with the new feature it will bring.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a post yesterday that they are working on new tools that will pave the way for people doing creative work on the social media platform to make more money. “Our view is that if we help creators make more money, a broader economy and new businesses will emerge…” Zuckerberg said in a chat with Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri on Instagram Live. he explained.
Instagram aims to create value with monetization tools
Instagram CEO Mosseri, meanwhile, said companies tend to work with more well-known social media users. Therefore, he said, the new market to be developed can help people with fewer followers connect with a brand for sponsorship deals.
“Historically, I think Instagram has created better value for creators who are already on the platform or are just starting,” Adam Mosseri said.
Facebook CEO Zuckerberg also said the company is building online stores. Thus, he underlined that they pave the way for creators to sell products directly on the social media platform and get a share of the sales. In this way, social media companies are turning to create more content that will keep users on their sites, Zuckerberg said, adding that platforms are competing to recruit popular people.
