Twitter may substitute the reaction button, which used to be star-shaped and now heart-shaped, with a Facebook-style multi-reaction button in the coming days.
According to app researcher Jane Manchung Wong, it is thought that Twitter’s likes button could be changed to Facebook-style multiple reactions in the coming days. Starting in 2015, the reaction key passed from the star to the heart button can then be used with multiple reactions such as “smile”, “thoughtful”, “sad”.
Twitter concluded a few months ago that people are always exploring new ways to express themselves in conversations. In this sense, the multi-reaction button can be used as a solution in a short time.
However, according to Wong’s leak, sad or laughing emojis can be used in the reaction, while angry emojis are not planned to be used. This is because, on Twitter, users can already express this feeling with a reply and quote tweet.
