Apple’s default email app, iCloud Mail, crashed. For now, not all users have encountered this problem, but it turns out that a significant number of people around the world do not have access to the app.
The error was confirmed by Apple, where some users had difficulty accessing their email boxes for several hours.
Apple starts working to fix the problem
Apple soon received a statement after the Mail app crashed. The company, which gave an open-ended answer that “users may have occasional problems with this service”, confirmed the problem but did not want to go into much detail. He also did not include details such as how many people were exposed to the outage, in a statement posted with the note “some users were affected.”
Social media users shared the mistakes they encountered while trying to get emails from the service. A screenshot of the resulting problem is as follows:
The iCloud Mail outage came two days after a few hours of outages to iCloud Keychain on Saturday. Apple’s password manager service also had trouble accessing users’ storage for a while.
For now, there is no definitive answer as to when iCloud Mail will recover. But As Apple officials were aware of the problem, they set out to identify the problem and come up with a solution. The outage is expected to end completely during the day.
