Huawei announced that the number of apps using HMS Core exceeded 134,000 in the launch of Apps UP, a competition that will distribute many awards as well as a $1 million special incentive award.
Speaking at the HMS Global Application Innovation Competition (Apps UP) launched by Huawei, Liu Dongfang, vice president of marketing and solutions at the company, announced that more than 4 million developers have signed up for new applications for the existing app ecosystem.
HMS Core, a mobile service infrastructure that offers a variety of service capabilities to app developers, continues to be updated. With the recently introduced version 6.0, extended support for cloud services will be available. The release will be released in the coming days.
As of the end of May 2021, the number of Huawei-registered developers exceeded 4 million, while the number of applications integrating HMS Core worldwide exceeded 134,000, according to Huawei.
Huawei said the HMS ecosystem has become the third largest mobile app ecosystem in the world. Huawei’s Catherine Chen said: “I believe that more and more people are coming together through the HMS platform and that every improvement will contribute to HMS’s ecosystem breadth and bring more excitement and creativity to the world.”
