Huawei, which has lost access to the Google ecosystem due to the US embargo and is developing its operating system, is preparing to introduce its new phones. The first phones to use this new operating system will be the company’s flagship Huawei P50 series.
While it remains unclear when the highly anticipated phone will be introduced, new information has emerged. The company, which will allegedly introduce the Watch 3 and MatePad Pro 2 in June, plans to introduce the Huawei P50 series at the same event.
Twitter user Ice Universe, which has come up with similar leaks in the past, posted a new image showing the launch date of the highly anticipated phone. Accordingly, the company will introduce the Huawei P50 series in addition to the Watch 3 and MatePad Pro 2 at the event on June 2.
The phones, which are expected to come with some pretty impressive features, will use Sony’s massive IMX800 sensor. Much larger than standard smartphone cameras, this sensor will deliver better performance in both day and night shooting.
Huawei, which is working in partnership with Leica for this camera, will benefit from the expertise of the German manufacturer for the last time. The two companies, which have worked together on camera hardware and software for many years, will end their partnership after the Huawei P50 series. Leica, which is already working on new partnerships, will probably work with companies such as Xiaomi and Honor.
