Huawei claims they sold more 5G smartphones in 2019 than Samsung
Huawei announced that as of the end of December, 5G supported smartphone shipments exceeded 6.9 million units. The company surpassed one of its biggest rivals, Samsung, with this performance.
As of December 2019, Huawei shipped 6.9 million 5G powered smartphones. The Chinese company seems to have performed well despite the US embargo last year.
Another reason that makes the success of Huawei important is that it has left Samsung behind in the shipment of 5G-enabled smartphones. The South Korean company signed 6.7 million 5G supported phone shipments in 2019.
Samsung 5 presented Huawei 8 model
Samsung’s portfolio of 5G phones last year included five phones, the Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note 10 5G, Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G, Galaxy Fold 5G and Galaxy A90 5G.
Huawei released eight models last year supporting fifth generation networks, including Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, Mate 30 5G, Mate 30 RS Porsche Design, Mate 20 X (5G), Nova 6 5G, Mate X, Honor V30 Pro and Honor V30.
