Huawei Announces No HarmonyOS Phone Will Come in 2019
Huawei Senior Vice President Vincent Yang announced that Huawei will continue to produce smartphones with Android, and that at least by the end of 2019, they have no plans for a smartphone with the HarmonyOS operating system.
Huawei, sanctioned by the US government, played its own operating system card and announced its operating system HarmonyOS at the Huawei Developer Conference held in recent weeks.
HarmonyOS; developed for use in various products such as smartphones, tablets, televisions, automobiles and smart watches. Huawei’s expectation from HarmonyOS is very high, but the company once again announced that it will not launch a smartphone with a HarmonyOS operating system, at least in 2019.
Huawei Senior Vice President Vincent Yang, despite all the events announced that they want to protect the Android ecosystem. According to Yang, Huawei will use HarmonyOS on smartphones only when it cannot use the Android operating system.
Yang said the company’s new flagship Mate 30 Pro, which will be released later, will have the Android operating system. According to the announcement, Huawei will continue to use the Android operating system on their smartphones until the last minute, when the US will begin to impose a sanction.

Huawei’s statements mean that we won’t be able to see HarmonyOS on smartphones for a while. However, as soon as the US government begins to impose sanctions, Huawei will have to switch to HarmonyOS.
