Huawei and Tencent Agree for Cooperation in Broadcast Services
Huawei and Tencent will collaborate for a new broadcast service and the two companies will share their video technologies with each other.
Huawei, who has recently become in trouble with some countries, especially with the US and has been severed from many of its suppliers, has finally managed to be a good news story.
Huawei and Tencent, Chinese technology giants, signed an agreement on deep cooperation in broadcasting services. The agreement was signed at the 7th China Internet Audio and Video Congress.
According to the agreement, the two companies will work together and share the video technologies of their platforms in the joint operations. Huawei device users will be able to watch high quality broadcasts through the Tencent Video application. Huawei Video will also offer its artificial intelligence improvements to the use of Tencent Video.Thus, better quality audio and video broadcasting will be achieved and acoustic effects and visual effects will become more advanced.
Sun Zhonghuai, CEO of Penguin Pictures and Vice President of Tencent Holding, says that thanks to this agreement, Tencent’s videos will reach Huawei users.
Huawei Video will also provide feedback for content producers. These notifications will be created based on user demand data, consumer preferences and tracking habits. Thus, companies will be able to create ads for users and generate advertising revenue.
