Then local reporters and the public shared all the developments on Twitter with the #sandiegofire tag. On these shares, people realized that labels were very useful and they started to use them frequently.
Stowe Boyd, a blogger named this labeling system used hashtag name has gained an official name. Then, in 2009, Twitter started to list popular labels and topics in the “agenda” section with the concept of hashtag.
