GOOGLE PIXEL 3A ADVERT BILLBOARD MOCKS $999 PRICE OF “PHONE X”
Google revisited affordable smartphones with its new Pixel 3a duo launch earlier this week. The company’s Pixel line had been dishing out premium smartphones alone for three generations, all that stood upto the Apple iPhone prices very well. However, now that Google has an affordable Pixel phone, the company hasn’t wasted time in taking a jibe at Apple. And although it’s obvious, we won’t call it a direct taunt.
Here’s an advert board that has quickly sprung up soon after launch. It mentions a certain Phone X (You know which one) that costs $999 and places the affordable Pixel 3a beneath it with its $399 price tag. Smartphone OEMs have been having a go at each other since some time especially the Chinese ones. Also, Samsung never spares a good opportunity to market its flagship phone features compared to competitors. But it certainly is a bit new for Google to be doing so in the smartphone segment.
The biggest selling point of the Pixel 3a is the powerful imaging capabilities that it inherits from its bigger premium siblings, despite not having the same ISP onboard its chassis This advert comes after Apple fans have been illustrating on social media that the Pixel 3a still lags behind the iPhone XS in photo quality.
