Apart from finding the best and most suitable hotel in travel planning, many steps can be mentioned. The latest update to the Google Trips platform includes innovations to help users with these steps.
The section meli When to go? Added to the platform will provide users with information about the best time to visit a city within the framework of criteria such as density, weather and accommodation prices.
It is an important criterion to visit a place before or during the peak season, to find a place and not to be overwhelmed by the crowd. However, when deciding on this, price is still important. The How much do you pay? Tab in the new section of Google Trips helps users create a clear idea of potential travel costs.
Google is also evaluating criteria other than price for hotel selection. The “Where to stay?” Tab lists popular areas of the city. In this ranking, the regions feature, general location score and average hotel price are shown as well. This helps users to find a hotel close to their main attraction.
Google Trips also show personal recommendations
Other Google changes make smaller, yet still useful, details. Users now see personalized recommendations based on hotel searches or past stays. The “Travel Guide” and “Trip Planning” sections on the city pages show both the nightly and total price of the hotel accommodation. Users can also continue planning their breaks later.
Travel date suggestions are currently only available to Google Trips users on the desktop. Other features are available on both desktop and mobile.
