Garmin, a U.S.-based technology manufacturer, has unveiled its new wearables. The venu 2 and 2S smartwatches released by the company are on sale.
Garmin announced the Venu 2 and Venu 2S smartwatches, which provide enhanced monitoring of the user’s health and vital signs.
The Venu 2 smartwatch has a 1.3-inch screen with a resolution of 416 × 416 pixels, while the Venu 2S has a 1.1-inch screen with a resolution of 360 × 360 pixels. Both devices are protected against damage with the durable Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Both models have a GPS/GLONASS satellite navigation system receiver, a barometric altimeter, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, thermometer, and a light sensor. Let’s also mention that the devices are water-resistant up to 50 meters deep.
Smartwatches can monitor changes in heart rate around the clock and, in addition, analyze oxygen levels in the blood. The data collected by the sensors allows you to assess the level of stress and the intensity of breathing. Improved monitoring of sleep quality and duration is also possible.
The devices have all kinds of sports modes, and the Venu 2 and 2S are capable of measuring the distance traveled, the number of steps and calories burned. Once charged, the alleged battery life can be extended to 10 days for the Venu 2 and up to 11 days for the Venu 2S. Smartwatches have a price tag of $399.
