Google is reportedly preparing to launch a mid-range smartphone based on its flagship Pixel 6 series. The first images of the device, known as Google Pixel 6a, have been published.
Google’s flagship Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones were introduced last month. The search giant is now preparing to release a more compact model. We are talking about the Google Pixel 6a model with a 6.2 inch OLED display.
The first images of the device fell on the Internet. The renders shared by the 91mobiles website show a smaller version of the flagship Pixel 6. In this model, we see the same protruding rear camera unit and perforated screen.
The fingerprint scanner will be integrated into the display panel. It is stated that the device will measure 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7 mm (10.4 mm including the rear camera protrusion). There is no reliable information about the technical specifications of the Pixel 6a yet.
It is said that the smartphone can be equipped with a Tensor Lite or Snapdragon 778G processor. The main camera configuration will probably be the same as the Pixel 6. Finally, let’s add that 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage are mentioned.
