Facebook, which changed its name to Meta in the presentation held yesterday, introduced the Project Cambria VR headset, which will combine the digital world and the real world.

At the Facebook Connect 2021 presentation held yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg announced Project Cambria, a VR and AR headset where users can interact with a virtual world.

The new title, which is under development, will enable the physical space where users are located on high-resolution screens to be converted to digital. Project Cambria, which has a thinner design than other VR headsets on the market, will host new generation sensors. It will also maximize real-world reconstruction with advanced monitoring features.

Project Cambria will enable users to be transformed into interactive digital characters and digitally mimic their body movements. Also announcing the Horizon Home for Oculus experience, the company will allow them to play games, watch movies and interact with people who have turned into digital characters in a virtual world.

Stating that they will increase the game experience, Facebook said that they are working exclusively on the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which will be a part of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. The company, which does not share more details about the games, plans to transfer the real world to digital with its “metaverse” vision.
