Billionaire Tesla boss and Neuralink manager Elon Musk’un explained that he is thinking of investing in a rival brain chip company.

Technology entrepreneur Elon Musk is intending to invest in Synchron, a brain chip developer competing with his company Neuralink, which works in the same field.

According to the information, Musk reached Thomas Oxley, the founder, and CEO of Synchron to investigate a possible attempt in recent weeks. Four people who followed the issue, the talks are far from finalizing, and whether an agreement is still unclear, he said.

Synchron in New York, a few steps ahead of Neurralink to get regulatory approval to test brain implants in humans, and last year, the Green Light from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) received a green light.

Before that, in Australia, a separate human experiment on four people was performed and collected valuable data for future tests.

Although Musk implies human tests many times for Neuralink in the near future, he has not yet been authorized for this use.

Unlike Synchron’s device, installing Neuralink requires a major surgical operation with cuts in the human skull, probably pointing to slow progress.
