Sources close to the supply chain report that Chinese manufacturer BOE has received an order for 20 million OLED screens from Apple for use in iPhone 13 series smartphones.

According to the latest information from China, some of the OLED screens to be used on iPhone 13 smartphones will be produced by boe. Sources close to the supply chain report that the BOE has purchased special equipment that will make it possible to produce high-quality OLED panels.

The BOE’s sixth-generation production line is expected to supply 20 million OLED panels for the iPhone 13 this year. On the other hand, let’s note that Samsung will continue to be the main screen supplier. The South Korean giant’s share of screens for the iPhone 13 is 65.1%.

169 million OLED panel orders from Apple

LG Display covers 29.6% of OLED display orders, while BOE will cover 5.3% of orders. In April, it was reported that Apple would order a total of 169 million OLED panels for new iPhones. It is scheduled to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 13 series in September.
