Google is adding pulse and respiratory rate monitors to the Fit app on Pixel phones.
Google continues to add new features to Pixel smartphones. The company, which previously introduced many new features to users, is now adding the ability to measure pulse and respiratory rate to the Google Fit app on Pixel phones.
Google, which added pulse and respiratory rate measurement to Pixel phones with the latest update, also plan to release this feature for other Android phones.
Google, which also shares some details about how these features work, says users who want to measure pulse rate should press their fingers at the back camera after launching the app. In this part, the pulse rate is determined by looking at the color change in the blood at the fingertips.
Users who want to measure their respiratory rate need to hold the front camera of their phone with the chest and head and breathe normally.
Pixel users currently have access to this feature, but Google is expected to add these features to other Android phones as soon as soon.
