After 32 years, the veteran Game Boy console is now the subject of Bitcoin mining. An amateur electronics engineer managed to connect the console to the Bitcoin chain.

A certain level of hardware is required to mine on cryptocurrency chains, but some amateur-spirited developers are mining on legendary devices, creating interesting experiences.

An electronics engineer named Stacksmashing wanted to try out the idea of mining Bitcoin with game boy, a veteran who is over 32. He did it with some external hardware help.

Since the 8-bit console has no internet connection, the serial connection used for shopping in games such as Pokemon has opened up to the outside world by connecting a Raspberry Pi due to the interlude. The Sharp LR35902 processor runs at 4.19MHz, so it can take years to generate revenue.

Today, high-end graphics cards or specially developed computer systems are used for mining. Nevertheless, we have seen that any system that offers a certain processing power can dig up cryptocurrency, albeit for entertainment purposes.
