Asus will launch its compactly designed phone, Zenfone 8 Mini, in response to the iPhone 12 Mini. While the leaks confirmed the name of the expected model, it also showed some curious details about the device.
The iPhone 12 Mini was announced by Apple in September last year. The phone, which initially attracted great attention, was unfortunately overshadowed by other models in the series due to its high price. In fact, some reports confirmed this idea and showed us that Apple would no longer produce this model in many regions.
Unlike the iPhone’s compact phone, whose shipments have turned out to be drastically reduced, Asus thinks it can succeed. Because the company has gone apple’s way and started work on a device of similar size. But he probably won’t make the same mistake they did, but he’ll set a more budget-friendly price. It’s kind of hard to get an opinion on that right now… However, the allegations that have emerged give us many clues about the device.
Asus Zenfone 8 Mini specs leaked
XDA Developers has seen Zenfone 8 Mini among Asus’ core source code. It was learned that the phone, disguised under the code name Sake, will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, as in other models of the series.
The device will come with a 5.92-inch OLED display, according to the report. For comparison, the standard model of the series will have a screen of 6.67 inches. Zenfone 8 Mini 2400 x 1080 pixels will offer users Full HD+ resolution. A refresh rate of 120Hz will be introduced. It was also revealed that the phone was developed with a dual rear camera module. The model will have a 64 megapixel Sony IMX686 main camera and will use the Sony IMX663 in addition. However, it is not yet known whether the rotary cameras we saw in Zenfone 7 will be reused in this model.
Asus Zenfone 8, the standard model in the series, will include a quad camera setup. The 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 will feature a primary camera and will be powered by a 24-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Two more 12.2 megapixel and 8 megapixel cameras will also be included in the module.
The Zenfone 8 family will come with a total of three different models. The release date for the series is not yet known.
