Apple announced iPadOS 15 during the WWDC 2021 event. In the new version of the operating system, many new features are highly anticipated by users.
Apple just announced iPadOS 15 with some big new features, and the company is confident that this will be the best version of iPadOS ever.
With iPadOS 15, Apple is bringing widgets to the Home screen instead of downloading them to the sidebar. The iPad’s larger screen will also allow for new, larger widgets. Find My New Contacts and Widgets are coming soon.
Apple, very similar to iOS 14, brings App Library to iPadOS 15, making it available through the iPad’s Dock. You will also be able to hide all home screens and get rid of applications that we do not want to use very often.
iPad multitasking enhancements are also coming with a new multitasking view that gives users the option to choose between the split-screen and other views while running multiple apps at the same time. Scrolling down while in split-screen mode also gives users the chance to open a different app. Applications can be reduced to the Shelf, an area that will hold applications that can be reopened quickly if needed. everything will also work with keyboard shortcuts.
Quick Notes was touted as a quick and easy way to get a note from anywhere. When you scroll through the bottom corner of the screen using an Apple Pencil, your note will appear ready to use. When you’re done, you can quickly scroll through the notes to close them. You can also use third-party apps, and Notes recognizes the apps you use and makes recommendations based on context.
Improvements in notes mean we can talk about a person and have their details in hand, while a new activity view will show us what changes were made to a note edited by multiple people. Tags are also being added for easier grade organization.
Next up is the translation. The translation app comes from iPhone. Users will now be able to translate texts, including photo interiors and more, system-wide. IPad will even automatically detect which language is being used, allowing you to translate conversations in real-time.
The new Swift Playgrounds allows users to create apps with documents using SwiftUI on their iPad. You can even submit your apps to the App Store from within Swift Playgrounds.
