Apple tries to catch up with rivals in artificial intelligence

Apple has made 25 acquisitions of artificial intelligence companies in the last five years, according to GlobalData research. In second place was an Irish surprise company called Accenture with 17 acquisitions. Google ranked in the top five with 14 purchases, Microsoft 12 and Facebook 9.

Apple uses AI for Siri

Voysis, the Irish audio technology company that Apple also acquired in 2020, is being used to improve Siri’s understanding of natural language. Accordingly, Voysis was doing voice analysis research with artificial intelligence technology. With PullString, which Apple acquired in 2019, iOS developers (Developer) aim to make Siri easier to use.

These five firms are also constantly opening up new positions in AI technology recruitment. Accordingly, during 2020, five companies published more than 14,000 AI-based job advertisements in total.
