Apple started showing ads on iPhone and iPad

Apple started showing ads on iPhone and iPad devices. Well, are these ads like Xiaomi or a different type?

Many people criticize the Chinese Xiaomi for the presence of ads in the MIUI user interface. However, other manufacturers have also started implementing them. Previously, Samsung smartphones already had the appearance of information and ads. Apple is now following the same path. Apple started showing ads on iPhone and iPad models.

The company based in Cupertinolu has started to advertise its paid services on smartphones, iOS and iPadOS. Tom Warren, editor-in-chief of The Verge, revealed this on Twitter. However, Apple’s ads are not like their competitors.

Apple is said to advertise Apple Arcade, AppleCare + and Apple TV + services in the Settings menu. Ads with this offer are currently only shown to users in the United States.

2020 has been a tough year for everyone, including Apple. Therefore, the Cupertino company had to postpone the start of production, announcement and release of the iPhone 12 due to the epidemic; this will affect the holiday season preparations.

According to Nikkei, Apple is experiencing supply problems with the iPhone 12, which could lead to shortage of new smartphones during the holiday season. Americans allegedly want to cover this up with old models. Apple has ordered more than 20 million iPhone 11, iPhone SE and iPhone XR that are still popular.

Apple is expected to compensate for this loss with its services. Therefore, it seems that the ads with offer content for their own services will continue to be shown in the Settings section.

No statement has been made on the subject for now. But Apple will likely back down if this ad incident gets backlash. Displaying ads on the phone purchased for $ 1,099 data actually does not seem logical. Probably, these reactions will grow like an avalanche in a short time.
