Apple Pencil could get really great upgrades in the future. According to the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple obtained a patent for a stylus with a built-in camera and more.
The patent disclosure said the stylus will have a touch-sensitive area that supports movements such as rotations and shifts or a gesture combination. This version of Apple Pencil will be able to detect user gestures. The current Apple Pencil allows you to switch between tools such as pencils and erasers by tapping the edge of the stylus twice. In the future, a more awesome pen prototype is waiting for us!
The patent also states that the stylus can detect the biological characteristics of the user, such as heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure and skin temperature.

Another patent listed refers to a version of Apple with an internal camera. The camera will be able to capture the physical properties of a surface and replicate it visually on the iPad’s screen.
Another patent has a tactile feedback feature that mimics the feeling of drawing on paper, while another mentions that the stylus has a fingerprint scanner, so it can be used to unlock iPad and make payments.
It is not yet known which of these features will eventually become a commercial product. However, the upcoming iPad Pro will start with the Apple Pencil feel that new movements may come. Leaks of the upcoming tablet had spread a few weeks ago.
