Both the claims made and the lines detected in the iOS 14.6 beta show that the Apple Music service is working to deliver lossless audio.
Today, hundreds of millions of people benefit from at least one online music service and generally prefer standard quality audio. However, some services are trying to capture a certain audience by offering lossless sound quality. Apple Music is also in preparation.
Apple Music HiFi is coming
Some services, such as Tidal HiFi and Spotify HiFi, are trying to appeal to a specific audience with lossless audio. It also contributes to revenues with a slightly higher subscription fee. Now Apple is also testing this technology.
The lines that appear in iOS 14.6 beta codes point to the definition of lossless music. Apple later removed these lines but could not prevent them from spreading. A $10 HiFi subscription for Apple Music has been claimed in recent weeks, and lines of code confirm it.
It’s not known whether Apple will introduce the new feature with iOS 14.6, or if it will appear during the promotional period of the next generation of AirPods headphones. In addition, the HiFi service can be an important point of interest with special technology support for AirPods headphones. However, some sources believe the definitions refer to Dolby Atmos or Dolby Audio technologies.
