Apple‘s new macOS Monterey version, which will offer many innovations, came up with a new error. Many users report that USB Hubs do not work with the new version.

It turned out that Apple‘s macOS Monterey update, introduced at the WWDC 2021 event and shared for developers, caused problems with USB hubs.

While it is not known exactly whether the problem affects all devices, many Macbook owners with M1 processors are increasingly complaining that USB Hubs are not working. Eurobubba, a user of the Apple Developer Forum, said that USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports through the USB Hub have not worked since I installed “Monterey” in July. However, another user on the Apple forums discovered that the problem disappeared when a USB-C cable with a length of 30 cm was used.

While the newly discovered problem is thought to be caused by an old bug that Apple did not fix, the company, which returned to complaints, advised users to use certified products.
